The Devil's nose is a zigzagged section of rail located on Ecuador's Andean railroad that travels down from a mountain to the low-lying coast. During its construction it was considered an impossible feat, but now you can experience this intriguing creation for yourself. Your excursion begins with a trip through the Avenue of the Volcanoes, flanked by 12 of the highest peaks in the Western Hemisphere. Then, you will travel through one of the most picturesque native areas of the country to arrive at your destination of Riobamba. Here you will stay overnight in a quaint country inn. The next morning you will experience the thrill of a train ride down Devil's nose! You will return to Quito that afternoon.
